OXYTOCIN

COMPOSITION: In 1 ml

Oxytocin:....................................20 IU

Solvent (propylene glycol, benzyl alcohol, sterile water for injection):..............100 ml

USES:

Treatment of labor weakness, promotion of uterine contractions, retained placenta, uterine hemorrhage, and postpartum lactation in buffaloes, cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, and cats.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

Intramuscular or subcutaneous injection.

- Female cattle and horses: 2 - 2.5 ml.

- Female goats and sheep: 0.5 - 1.5 ml.

- Sows: 1-2 ml.

- Dogs: 0.25 - 0.5 ml.

- Cats: 0.1-0.3 ml.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

Undilated cervix. Abnormal fetal or uterine position.

Difficult delivery due to mechanical obstruction. Hypersensitivity to oxytocin.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:

Meat: 0 days. Milk: 0 days.

STORAGE:

Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
